Make it Monday- Masculine

It’s Monday and that means it is time for Make it Monday! This Monday (which is actually my FIRST -Make it Monday) I thought a masculine card was in order.

Masculine cards tend to be a little more difficult for me. I guess because I have so many stamp sets that have flowers or some other feminine type image. So….when I saw this new stamp set called Harvest Blessings (p. 85) in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, I knew I had to have it. Living in the midwest and having a husband who grew up on a farm, were reasons enough for me to “need” this stamp set.

I made this card for my husband for Father’s Day. He recently purchased an old John Deere tractor, that had been refurbished. He is not a farmer by profession….but I think he still is in his heart!

I also used the new Argyle embossing folder, Finishing Touches edgelits, and Bitty Banners Framelits. The tractor was colored using watercolor pencils.

Thanks for looking!
