Freshly Made Sketch for Friday

Happy Friday!  Today’s card is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch 40. I used this sketch as my card template for my stamp clubs this month. I love finding a good sketch and then making several different samples using that sketch with different stamp sets, papers, etc. It’s a great way to come up with lots of different cards using the same starting point.

I did make several cards with this basic sketch or template. I will share one today and a few more over the weekend.

I used several new items on this card. First of all the stamp set is Hoop La La (p.111).        I knew I must have this set, the minute I laid my eyes on it in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. I have been cross stitching for many years. In fact, it is the first craft that I learned when I was young and I still do. It will be a love of mine forever.    I also used the Comfort Cafe’ dsp (p.163), the Paper Doilies Sizzlit and the new Delicate Doilies Sizzlit (p.191).  The Large Scallop Edgelit (p.190), the Bitty Banners Framelits (p.191), and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (p.183). Finally, I used embroidery floss in the buttons…so appropriate!  The words are from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (p.133). The is one of my favorite word sets and it gets used a lot!!

Well, hope you like this first sample of the Freshly Made Sketch 40 and come back tomorrow for another variation of this card template.
