Well, I’m back with another Freshly Made Sketch. I was hoping to get a post done earlier this week, but the week is now half over and I am finally getting around to it!! I have been busy getting things ready for a card class and several stamp clubs the last week, so that has prevented me from getting to stamp just for FUN. So, it felt kind of nice to get to ink up some new stamps and play a little. I needed to get a birthday card done for my niece (it really should have been done before yesterday….but better late than never, I guess). So… this is what I came up with.
I recently got the Patterned Party stamp set (p.46) and so I thought it would be appropriate for this 18th birthday card. I combined the stamp set with the Sycamore Street DSP from the Sale-a-bration brochure and that helped determine my color combination. I used a plain and simple white card base with some touches of Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Tangerine Tango card stock. I also used the new Oval Framelits from the new Spring catalog (p.4). I used the Dotted Scalloped border punch (p.183) for the scalloped edge on the card front and the inside of the card. I used markers to color directly on the rubber stamp to get all the great colors. This card went together pretty quickly, and has a nice clean and simple feel.
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you have time to play a little today too! See you soon and Happy Stamping!
