My niece just turned 1 year old this Spring, and I made her a little wall decor for her room. I love using Stampin’ Up’s Build a Banner Kits, and I was happy to see that they were added to the New Catalog (p.202-203) too. Not only did they add the Build a Banner Kit that was offered in this past Holiday Catalog, but there are also several other Kits, Add-On Kits, and Refill Kits! They make the cutest banners, and I think a great gift too.
It is so fun to add different embellishments and personalize it by color and elements.I used Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Primrose Petals, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso ink colors. I added some die cut details, Candy Dots, dew drops (non-SU item), ribbon and linen thread.I embossed some of the cardstock pieces, made a paper rosette with some designer series paper, and strung it on some jute twine. This was a lot of fun to make and it will be a good addition to her pink and tan room.
If you need a unique gift and want to make something personal….these banner kits are just perfect. I have made several of them, and they make great baby or birthday gifts. Just click the catalog link in the right column to place an online order or contact me if you would like to get a kit to make for yourself or someone special. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
