You’re a Star! Birthday Card

22nd BirthdayToday’s card was inspired by a card by Cindee Wilkenson. I needed an idea for a birthday card for my son, and her card seemed to fit the bill. I loved all the stars in varying sizes and textures. It also had a lot of depth with the stars popping off the card too.

22nd Birthday 3I used an Island Indigo card base and a layer from the Adventure Bound Designer Series paper stack (p.40 OC). I added stars cut with the Star Framelits (p.231) from some Champagne Glimmer paper (p.193), some Crumb Cake cardstock, and Adventure Bound DSP. I used the numbers from an old retired stamp set, Collage Alphabet Numbers.       22nd Birthday 2I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (p.165) on the background layer. I added a piece of Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker’s Twine (p.179) around the card and a sentiment from the Tag Talk stamp set (p.66), which I punched out with the coordinating Label Bracket punch (p.220). I stamped this in Island Indigo ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and a second time in Early Espresso ink. I cut the “birthday” portion of the Early Espresso stamped piece out with my paper snips and added it to the Island Indigo piece. I adhered it to the card with stampin’ dimensionals.

22nd Birthday insideThe inside of the card was stamped with a sentiment from the And Many More stamp set (p.20). I added some small Champagne Glimmer stars punched out using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (p.222).

So, there is nice masculine birthday card idea for a “STAR” in your life. Hope you can spend a little time stamping today! See you soon….
