Happy Birthday to EWE!

birthday lambDon’t you just love it!!  This is another card that I created for my stack of kids cards that I have been working on. I CASED this card from Nikki Spencer HERE. I changed a couple small details, but I really just loved her idea of the lamb holding the banners….so cute!

I used a bunch of retired or “old” things from my large stash of paper and stuff to create this card. I started with a non-SU scallop framelit to cut out the body, and then embossed that with a non-SU swirled design embossing folder. I added a Extra-Large Oval (p.221) punched face and ears punched with the retired Blossom Petals Builder punch. The party hat is from the Petite Pennants Builder punch (p.223) and the Itty Bitty Punch Pack (retired). I used the Owl Builder Punch (p.223) for the eyes, but the googly eyes on Nikki’s card were very cute too.

The legs were created by using the Bird Builder punch (p.223) and just trimming them with my paper snips to have the right look. Finally, I just added a piece of White Baker’s Twine (p.206) with some strips of DSP folded over it and cut the ends with paper snips to make the little banners.

Pretty fun, huh?!!  No stamping involved, just created with paper, punches, and scissors. Sometimes you don’t even need to get inky fingers to create a little masterpiece.  Happy Stampin’!
